Echinacea purpurea  is a beautiful perennial, a pink essential for any herbaceous border.

Flowers all summer leaving cone seed heads which are good winter feed for the birds.

Sun or partial shade , preffers good soil which retains some moisture in summer.

Mine are always covered with Bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.
